Inspire Tutor - Dr Adam Stock

Dr Adam Stock is lecturer in English Literature at York St. John University. He has an interdisciplinary background and researches utopian studies, science fiction and modernism. Adam is particularly interested in the different ways literature can be used to think about possible alternative futures, and how narrative and form are employed in making political arguments. He is currently writing a book, Dystopian Fiction and Political Thought: Narratives of World Politics (Routledge, 2018). Previously the AHRC and Leverhulme Trust have funded his work. He's written on authors including George Orwell, John Wyndham, Margaret Atwood, Katherine Burdekin and Bram Stoker.
