Inspire Tutor - Lauri Bower

An instructor for the Northern Centre for Mindfulness and Compassion, Lauri specialises in mindfulness, stress reduction and well-being. She has 30 years’ experience of a personal mindfulness and meditation practice, and has been managing courses and retreats for 15 years.  She joined the NCMC team in 2012 and completed her Ph.D. in Mindfulness and Engaged Buddhism in 2014. To date, over 300 people have completed mindfulness courses with Lauri. She also runs the Practice Day programme for NCMC, offering mindfulness and meditation days to those who have completed courses. Lauri is also particularly interested in developing mindfulness and creativity workshops and retreats, as she recognises her own creativity is enhanced through practising mindfulness, particularly poetry. She regularly posts poems to her Mindful Living blog and creative projects to her Creative Living blog.
