Inspire Tutor - Annie Gray

Food historian Dr Annie Gray is a writer, broadcaster and consultant. Specialising predominantly in 18th and 19th century British food and dining, her first book, which was nominated for The Jane Grigson Award for New Food Writing, is an in-depth look at Queen Victoria through her food. Annie is a regular panellist on BBC Radio 4’s The Kitchen Cabinet, and co-presented and consulted on BBC2’s acclaimed Victorian Bakers (she is appearing in the follow-up, Back to Work: Confectioners, in late 2017). She is an honorary research associate at The University of York, and acts as a consultant to the heritage industry on the use of food and food-related spaces to the public.
